Department of Architectural Engineering

The USC Department of Architectural Engineering began its activities in 2007 by admitting students at bachelor level. Seven years later, it admitted students at master level.

Each year, 60 bachelor and 20 master students gain admission to the department.

It aims to train professional engineers; therefore, not only technical but also basic designing skills are highlighted in the curriculum.

It takes eight semesters to complete a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. The education system is semester and credit-based in which the students are expected to complete a total of 141 credits; i.e. 21 general credits, 29 basic credits, 60 major credits, 27 specialized credits and four elective credits. They should also take six makeup credits.

At master level, it offers programs in architecture-architecture subdiscipline. The courses are mainly theoretical and research-based.Master students should take a total of 32 credits; i.e. eight basic credits, eight specialized credits, eight architectur design studio credits (two four-credit courses), two elective credits and six final plan credits.
